The open house at Prairie Community Library was enjoyed by all who attended. While Christmas carols played in the background, there were popcorn, cookies and fudge for snacks to go with a warm drink. Buster, the library mascot, donned his Santa cap and stole the show by reading his favorite story, “How to Train Humans to do Tricks.” Afterwards, all helped to remove any movable furniture so the carpet could be cleaned during the closure of the library over the holidays. The Library board wishes to extend a Christmas wish of “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year” to all the patrons, and invite anyone who is interested to join in 2015. We will be open for business on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. See you then.
