Summit Academy improved to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in league play with an 80-40 pounding of winless Timberline at Craigmont Thursday, Dec. 18. Summit jumped out to a 20-4 lead after the first quarter and extended the lead to 43-19 by halftime and 66-27 after three quarters. The fourth quarter was played with a running clock as Summit coasted to the win. Josh Lustig led a balanced scoring attack with 21 points with Tyler Krogh adding 15, Nathan Beckman 14, Dean Stubbers 10, Patrick Chmelik 10, Chris Osborne 8 and Thomas Schwartz 2. Chmelik added 13 rebounds and Krogh had 8 steals. Timberline won the JV game 32-39.
