Main St. of Cottonwood had quite a berm down the middle
Monday morning after the second straight weekend snowstorm. Temperatures
rose into the 40’s creating a lot of runoff. The ITD cleared the berm from
Main St. later in the day. Rick Johnson’s school bus is parked on Main
St. in front of his business because school was delayed 2 hours to give
highway district crews time to plow the wet sloppy snow. Click on the photo

Dave Fuzzell of the Cottonwood city crew pushes more
snow onto “Mt. Cottonwood” the snowpile that develops every year at the
west end of the Nuxoll Shell lot. Snow is put there so when it melts most
of it will go into Cottonwood Creek through the grate there. As you can
see it was high enough Monday that you can barely see the Nuxoll Shell
building. Click on the photo for a larger view.

Another large snow pile downtown was on Front Street
next to the Farm Credit Service parking lot. There's another pile, just
as big behind the one shown from snow plowed out of the parking lot. Click
on the photo for a larger view.
