The Customer Service team at St. Mary’s Hospital selected Jamie Scheffler as the December Employee of the Month. 
Jamie was hired in January of 2014 as a Physical Therapist.
Jamie’s main job responsibility is to provide rehabilitation services on an inpatient and outpatient basis, to assist with improving patient function within the home and in the community as well as increase ability to participate in recreational activities and return to work duties. “I enjoy working with people, that is what drew me to this job,” commented Jamie. “My interest continued to grow with my own experiences with physical therapy as an athlete. The best part about being a therapist is getting to see your patients return to activities they enjoy or even simple things such as reaching up into a cupboard without pain.” According to the nomination form, “Jamie is kind hearted and compassionate and she knows her profession well; which is apparent to the patients who have total confidence in her.” Jamie received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Eastern Washington University and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana. Jamie is also a certified Personal Trainer and she graduated from Prairie High School. When not working; Jamie enjoys camping, fly fishing and back pack trips. She also enjoys playing basketball when the opportunity arises. Jamie is the daughter of Joe and Debbie Chicane and is married to Tim Scheffler. Jamie and Tim have one dog named Quigley. |
