Tasha Gimmeson organized the Think Pink volleyball
match against Grangeville as her senior project. Her goal was to raise
money for breast cancer awareness. She was able to raise $812 which all
got donated to St. Mary's Hospital to their breast cancer fund. “I would
like to thank the community members, my teachers and my teammates for all
of the help and support during my project.” said Gimmeson. Gimmeson, right,

Tanner Ross, son of Scott and Tara Ross, Prairie High
School senior, (above photo) presented a check for $200 to Idaho County
Recycling Cottonwood Site Manager, Jay Hinterlong, as part of his
Senior project. Jay Hinterlong, manager of the Idaho
County Recycling (ICR) site in Cottonwood, learned of Tanner’s project,
and requested an estimate for a shed. Tanner presented his bid, was
hired, and built ICR’s excess storage shed for the Cottonwood site.
ICR is operated solely by volunteers, so Tanner graciously donated $200
back to ICR. Idaho County Recycling would like to thank Mr. Ross
for a job well done and for supporting the recycling program. Click
