Prizes
focus on local history
The Welcome Center at St. Gertrude is giving away a basket of goods made at the Monastery including “Our Story,” the recently released collection of first-person histories that celebrates Cottonwood’s sesquicentennial. The stories are written by local families about their ancestors’ lives in the Cottonwood, Keuterville, Greencreek, and Ferdinand areas. The first two volumes of "Our Story" are now in their third printing. “The response has been overwhelming,” says Debra Graham, a staff member. “People are excited about it because it’s about them.” Other items include Monastery Nature's Gifts soaps, salve, and lip balm; a bottle of Raspberry wine, chocolate, and more. The basket is valued at over $100. People can enter the raffle for free when they visit the Welcome Center at the Monastery of St. Gertrude. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30am to 4:30pm. The drawing will take place April 7, 2015. Need not be present to win and no purchase necessary. |
