This class will begin with the basics of PowerPoint and will progress through advanced techniques that can be used as an aide when giving either formal or fun, informal presentations. You will learn presentation set-up, slide exchanges, font size and style, adding pictures and clip art, utilizing graphs and tables, bullet designs, sound and animation. Whimsical Art Journals Thurs, March 19th; 6-9 pm By: Kim Kidd-Rodriguez; Cost $30 At: GEMS Art Room Explore your creative, whimsical side with art journaling! Art journals have long been used by artists to try new art materials and techniques, explore new ideas and enhance creativity but you don’t have to be a serious artist to enjoy this form of visual record keeping. Art journals can be used to record our thoughts, dreams, travels and daily activities. Many health care professionals and psychologists are recommending this form of “art therapy” to promote healthy thought patterns, self-regulation and stress reduction. On top of all that – it’s just FUN! We will learn several techniques and prompts for getting started plus more about the benefits of keeping an art journal. At least one page will be completed during class. |
