Basketball games
The District 2 All-Star Games were held Wednesday, March 11 at Lapwai with the South teams winning both games. In the girls game the South won 73-40. Kayla Schumacher scored 6 points for the South team and Lori Mader served as one of the coaches. In the boys game the South won 72-63. From Prairie Lucas Arnzen scored 12 points, Rhett Schlader 10 and Tanner Ross 8 while Josh Lustig from Summit Academy scored 9. In the skills competitions Ross won the Slam Dunk Contest. The Border War All-Star Games were set for this past Tuesday, March 17 at Clarkston High School. The girls game was set to tip off at 6 p.m. with the boys game to follow. Schlader, Arnzen and Ross were on the Central Idaho boys team with Teel Bruner as coach. Kayla Schumacher was on the Central Idaho girls team with Lori Mader as one of the coaches. They played against teams made up from Southeastern Washington schools. Results for these games next week.
