Health Fairs planned
St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics will be sponsoring two Mini Health Fairs at their Cottonwood Clinic one on March 26th and one on April 7th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Participants will be able to get their blood pressure checked, their BMI calculated and have an A1C test completed; the A1C test reflects the average of a person’s blood glucose levels over the past 3 months. They will also receive a free Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) which is a non-invasive pre-screening test that helps find precancerous polyps so they can be removed before they turn into cancer. There will also be guest speakers, nutritional information, giveaways and a chance to win prizes. Dr. Jones will be presenting information on colon cancer on March 26th and Megan Wilson will give a presentation on immunizations on April 7th; both presentations will take place at 6:00pm |
