students plant trees
Clark Christiansen from Idaho Department of Lands teamed up with Summit Academy students to plant 150 trees for Arbor Day! Students from grades Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade with the help of their teachers Mrs. Michelle Sonnen and Mrs. Kathy Rehder traveled to Cottonwood Butte to learn the proper planting of tree seedlings. Mr. Christensen showed the children how to plant trees and how to identify types of trees. Also assisting on the field trip were Virgil and Donna Wassmuth and Amy Rose.
