LCSC Report
983-2164 to Register Sat. May 16th; 9 – 2:30 By: Sr. Carlotta Fontes; Cost: $54 At: Monastery One of the longest running classes at LCSC is this soap-making class. Why? Because many people aren’t interested in ever making soap at home but would like access to wonderful soap. They enjoy the companionship, seeing how others scent (or don’t scent) their soaps, maybe do a little horse trading and after a fun day, have some soap to take home. When they run out, they take the class again. There are four seats left in this popular class. See the Woods Through Your Child’s Eyes Sat. May 20th; 9:30 – 1:30 By: Sr. Carol Wassmuth; Cost: $20 At: Monastery Take that special child in your life on an educational walk through the woodlands adjacent to the Monastery of St. Gertrude. Wildflowers will be blooming in June so we’ll discover and identify them and look for wildlife. Learn how to be friends with the forest and learn its secrets. After your walk, enjoy a meal with the Sisters in our Monastery Dining Room and you’ll return home with a set of tree ring coasters. Suitable for children ages 5 to 12 who must register with an adult. Wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. There are just four seats left in this class |
