Correction department to hold job fairs
The Idaho Department of Correction is holding three job fairs this month to fill openings for correctional officers. The times and locations are:
Lewiston: Thursday, June 11, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Idaho Department of Labor, 1158 Idaho St.
Kamiah: Tuesday, June 16, 1 – 3 p.m., Chamber of Commerce Visiting Center, 518 Main St.
Orofino: Thursday, June 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Idaho Department of Labor, 410 Johnson Ave.
Correction personnel will conduct interviews during the fairs. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and should bring a completed background investigation questionnaire, which can be found online at www.idoc.idaho.gov/content/careers/background_investigation_questionnaire.

Correctional officers receive a starting rate of $13.66 an hour with competitive benefits and a pay increase after successful completion of entrance probation.
