Together with his mother and many family members,
Father Paul Wander celebrated 25 years of the priesthood with the St. Mary’s
Tri-Parish Community, Sunday, July 12, 2015. The day began with the celebration
of Holy Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church. Fr. Paul was presented
with 25 red roses by children of the parish which he, in turn, dedicated
to Our Blessed Mother Mary. Immediately following the Mass, a catered lunch
was provided by “A Taste of Art” and women of the parish. Songs were sung
with the crowd (accompaniment by Ben Bross), patriotic songs were presented
by last year’s 1st-4th Summit Academy students (lower photo), and gifts
were given from children who attended Vacation Bible School. Ryan
Uhlenkott was Master of Ceremonies~engaging the capacity crowd of almost
400 people with humor and gratitude. A spiritual bouquet was given Fr.
Paul in thanksgiving for the gift of his priesthood. Two of Fr. Paul’s
brothers, Tim and Tom Wander, shared stories of life in the Wander family
with specific anecdotes of their youngest brother, tenth of ten children
born to Francis and Anna Wander. Fr. Paul was ordained June 8, 1990,
and has been pastor at St. Mary’s Tri-Parish since July 2012. The Tri-Parish
Community is very blessed by Fr. Paul's generosity and servant-heart, as
he is always willing to share his time and talents with those he meets.

It takes a lot of people to put
on a "World Famous" Rodeo. This picture was take at 8:30 pm on July 5,
after a 6 1/2 hour rodeo at Winchester. These people all volunteer to help
with the Winchester Rodeo. After 21 years, there will never be another
Winchester Rodeo. It's been a great ride! Photo provided by Junell Willson.
