Pirates to compete at Lewiston Tournament
The Prairie Lady Pirates will be competing at the Judy Fong Memorial Invitational Volleyball Tournament at Lewiston this Saturday, August 29. Prairie is in Pool B with the Lewiston varsity, Kellogg and Pendleton and their first match will be against Kellogg at 9 a.m. They come right back with a match against Lewiston at 10 a.m. and will play Pendleton at 12 noon. Pool play matches are best two of three. All teams will then advance to bracket play which starts at 2 p.m. and is double elimination. Pool play results determine seeding into the bracket. All bracketed matchups are 1 game to 25. The top 2 teams from each pool advance to the Gold Bracket at Booth Hall while the bottom two advance to the Silver Bracket at Jenifer Junior High. Pool A includes Genesee, Sandpoint, St. Maries and Timberlake. Pool C, which plays at Jenifer Jr. High includes Lake City, Moscow, Orofino and the Lewiston JV.
