Gonzaga
Choir to perform Sunday at Monastery
The Monastery of St. Gertrude will once again welcome the Gonzaga University Choir for a performance in the chapel this Sunday, September 13 at 1:30 p.m. The group will also provide music for 10:30 Mass that morning, including cantoring and favorite hymns. This will be the choir’s fifth performance at the Monastery and will conclude their annual retreat at Spirit Center. The internationally acclaimed choir is a select, mixed ensemble of nearly 80 voices that fills the acoustically renowned chapel of the Monastery of St. Gertrude. The performance will include a wide variety of repertoire from the Medieval to Modern historical periods and from diverse cultures. The performance is free and all are welcome. The Spirituality and the Arts program at St. Gertrude presents dynamic performances and retreats that engage artistic expression as devotion and the deepening of spirituality through creativity.
