is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
The YWCA has declared October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and has several activities planned for the month. Purple Awareness Ribbons are being tied to posts around towns in the area with those in Cottonwood being put up on Monday, Oct. 5. YWCA Week Without Violence is Oct. 18-24. During that week local cafes and restaurants will have table toppers with facts and statistics. The YWCA will also have an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. at their various locations. Grangeville’s will be Oct. 20 with Lewiston on Oct. 21 and Orofino and Kamiah both on Oct. 22. You can learn more online at ywcaidaho.org. |
