Well hello fans. Listen up now, turn down the radio...wait no that isn’t going to work, OK OK it’s either early in the morning or late in the evening. Don’t touch that dial. Coming attraction this coming Oct 24. The Prairie Community Library fund raiser. The Bräts & Brew is having it’s 7th annual dinner, dancing and drinking bash. Last year was a blast and this year it is all new. There is the buy a cork and win a good bottle of wine. Also, this year again the dance contest so bring your partner and put on your dancing shoes. There will be the silent auction (how do you know who is bidding if it’s silent) and the live auction (Now I am really confused). This year we will have an authentic German dinner and guess what you don’t have to stand in line. You will be served by the elite servers. (Some might be your kids ..Good Luck). Grand Prize is a Shotgun. Call the library for details. You won’t want to miss it this year. Get your tickets very very soon. There will be a reserved table for "special guests" who would like to attend but don't want to come alone. If there are ladies (or guys) who do not drive after dark, arrangements may be made for someone to pick them up and also return them home. Thanks Jane Burgess Above are some of the auction items that will be available at the Brats & Brew Fest set for Saturday, Oct. 24 in the Cottonwood Community Hall. The Christmas stocking shown is close to 3 feet tall and is loaded with goodies. The helmet, John Deere toy tractor and Kindle Fire are among many smaller items available. There is a pewter statue of St. Francis. The bottom photo shows another Christmas basket . There are many more items available including more baskets and smaller items. |
