Parish Dinner set for Nov. 1
Assumption Parish of Ferdinand will be holding their annual dinner and prize drawing on Sunday, November 1, at the Ferdinand parish hall. A roast beef and turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost for adults is $10, K through 6th grade is $5, and preschool and under eat free. The prize drawing will begin at 4 p.m. with more than 30 chances to win. Bingo will be played all day. Please come and enjoy the day. Halloween Party set for Oct. 24 The Prairie High School Prairie League will again be hosting a Halloween Party at the Auxiliary Gym (Old Elementary School) this Saturday, Oct. 24. Doors will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Admission cost is $5.00 per person which includes 15 game tickets, one snack, entry in the costume contest and entry to the haunted house. Additional game tickets can be purchased at 10 for $1.00 (based upon availability.) All snacks, games and balloons require tickets. Games will take place from 5:30 to 9:30. The Haunted House is open from 6 to 9 p.m. Parental discretion is advised for the Haunted House. There will be a face painting station and animal balloons as well as multiple games and prizes. There will also be a picture scene station for personal pictures. Don’t forget to bring your cameras! Snacks are served from 6 to 9 p.m. The Costume Contests will begin at 8 p.m. in 5 age groups: 0-3 years old; 4-8; 9-12, 13-19 and adults. This party will be drug free and alcohol free. Anyone violating this will be asked to leave. Annual meeting set for Saturday The Idaho Lewis County Cattle Association is having their annual meeting, dinner, auction and dance on October 24th at the Outpost in Kooskia. The Outpost is located directly below the Old Opera House Theater on Main Street in Kooskia. The night begins with our annual meeting at 5 p.m. and then dinner will follow at approximately 6 p.m. After dinner, we will have an auction to raise money for the scholarship fund before the dance begins at approximately 8 pm. We have BEARGRASS Band performing and Southfork Saloon will be serving drinks through dinner and dancing. You do not need to be a member to come to participate in the evening. Bingo Night at PES In honor of "Lights On After School" the Center For Discovery will be hosting a community and family Bingo Night at the Prairie Elementary School Cafeteria on Wednesday, October 21 from 6:00 to 7;30. Everyone is invited to attend. Please park in the back of the school and come through the cafeteria door. We will provide juice, popcorn and cookies. Hope to see you there. |
