No
election surprises
There were no surprises in last Tuesday’s city elections in Cottonwood and Ferdinand as each had just enough candidates to fill the available positions. In Cottonwood Denis Duman received 41 votes for Mayor while Shelli Schumacher and Jack Duman each received 40 votes for City Council. All three were incumbents who were re-elected. In Ferdinand Gabriel Riener was re-elected as mayor with 18 votes while Judy Forsman and Maria “Mitzi” Imhoff were re-elected as councilors with 19 and 18 votes respectively. Scott Oliver was elected for 2 years with 18 votes to a third councilor position. All of the others were elected to 4-year terms. |
