The concrete walls for the new handicapped access
ramp to the lower level of the Cottonwood Community Hall were poured recently
as work progresses on updating the hall so that it can be used as a Senior
Center. Click on the photo for a larger view.

Main Street in Cottonwood was snow-covered Tuesday
morning with snow continuing to fall despite temps in the low 20’s. Click

Prairie High School sports teams won two state championships
in 2015 and both were repeat championships from 2014. In the top
photo is the boys basketball team which beat Lapwai for the state title
in March and in the lower photo is the volleyball team which beat Genesee
in the state championship match for the second straight year in October.

Two more Prairie teams got close to back to back state
championships as each made it back to the championship game and lost in
rematches of the previous year’s title games. In the top photo is the girls
basketball team after receiving the 2nd place trophy at state after losing
to Lapwai. The lower photo shows the football team after they beat Kamiah
to win their second straight league title. They would go on to beat Wallace,
Oakley and Raft River in the state playoffs before losing to Valley.Click
