The new Community Hall lower level kitchen has been
framed in over the last week. The doorway and serving window are shown.
The doorway in the back will be closed off with a new ladies restroom put
in back there. The new entrance from the outside ramp will be to the left
and a bit behind where this photo was taken. It will be just to the south
of the wall separating the lower hall from the council chambers on the
east side of the building. When the work is finished the Senior Citizen
lunch will move here from the current location in the Cottonwood Community
Church and the outdoor handicap access ramp will make it easier to gain
entrance to the lower level, replacing the elevator out front that never
really worked like it was supposed to. Click on the photo for a larger
view.

This Picture is of the 5th Grade Boys Basketball team.
Players, Ben Gehring, Keenan Shears, Morgan Poxleitner, Colton McElroy,
Conner Forsman, Ryan Wemhoff, Westin Riener, Levi Walsh.
Coaches Sarah Walsh and Glenn Poxleitner. They played 3 games
in Kamiah this last weekend, their first games of the year.
Although we didn’t win any of these games, these young men gained
a bunch of experience and really improved on defense and rebounding as
the weekend went on. Good job Boys. Photo provided by Glenn
Poxleitner. Click on the photo for a larger view.

Summit Academy students in grades 7-12 headed to Boise
on Friday January 22nd. On Friday afternoon they toured the Idaho
Capital Building with Senator Sheryl Nuxoll. That evening the students
gathered with other youth at St. John's Cathedral for an overnight pro-life
youth rally. Ramona Trevino, speaker for the pro-life march gave
a special presentation to the students. Ms. Trevino is the former
director of a Planned Parenthood clinic. They spent the rest of the
evening preparing signs for the next day's march and playing games.
Saturday morning brought Mass at St. John's Cathedral and then the March
for Life which led them to the Capital Building once again. It was
an excellent opportunity to defend and share their faith. The students
returned home Saturday night exhausted from the crazy schedule and all
the walking, yet energized by the pro-life movement. Photo by Summit
Academy. Click on the photo for a larger view.
