Pirates
win big twice
The Prairie Pirates picked up two more league wins this past week, both on the road, as they won at Troy Thursday, Jan. 28, 69-41 and then won 66-35 at Potlatch Saturday, Jan. 30. With those wins, Prairie has clinched at least second place in the league and they still have a chance at the first seed into District on a tiebreaker if they should win at Lapwai this Thursday, Feb. 4 and also beat C.V. on Senior Night, Saturday, Feb. 6. It was 61-30 after 3 quarters leading to the fourth quarter being played under a running clock. Prairie had 4 players score in double figures led by Jake Bruner with 20 points. Tyson Schlader scored 14, Calvin Hinkelman 13 and Terran Peery 10. Hunter Chaffee added 5 points, Thomas Schwartz 3 and Isaiah Shears and Brandon Anderson 2 each. Schlader had 9 rebounds and 4 assists while Bruner had 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Prairie also won big in the JV game by the score of 54-16.
