The Tri Parish boys team brought home the 2nd place Trophy this year.   Coming back through the losers bracket, they gave the St. Joes 8th grade team all they could handle in the championship game.   But best of all you played with determination and class through out our 6 games.  I’m very proud of these young men!  Team members left to right are:  Tyler Wemhoff, Lane Remacle, John Gehring, Dean Johnson, Hayden Uhlenkott, Damian Forsmann, Cole Schlader, Carson Forsman, Owen Anderson, Conner Schwartz, Derik Shears, Sam Mager, Conner Forsman, Morgan Poxleitner.   Coaches:   Dustin Uhlenkott, Kris Shears and Glenn Poxleitner. Not pictured is Reid Uptmor who had played in earlier games but got too sick to play by the time of the championship game. Photo provided by Glenn Poxleitner. Click on the photo for a larger view.

The Tri-Parish girls took 2nd place out of the 7 teams in the Hallissey Tournament . Pictured from left are Coach Dave Shears, Madison Shears, Ellea Uhlenkott, Nicole Rehder, Sydnee Bruegeman, Sierra McWilliams, Eve Uhlenkott, Kyleigh Duclos, Anna Kaschmitter, Mattie Lustig, Halle Klapprich, Kayden Horton, Hope Schwartz and Coach Neil Bruegeman. Our Tri-Parish has a wonderful, hard working group of young ladies.  Our experience with the Hallissey basketball tournament was one that we will not soon forget.  We parishioners, parents, and fans should be very proud of our young ladies and men.  Our teams represented the Tri-Parish with the hard work, dedication and resilience of the champions are made of.  NOT only on the floor but off as well. As Coaches of the girls team, we cannot come close to describe how Proud we are of them.  After our final game we were approach by many people (not knowing any of them) about how our girls played with so much heart and determination. One man approached us and said “I have watched 3 or 4 of your team’s games and they are the true definition of what this tournament is about.”  That is a True compliment to the players, parents and the community. We would like to thank all the players and their parents for this amazing experience. Coach Dave Shears and Coach Neil Bruegeman. Click on the photo for a larger view.
