advances to state
Jace Perrin of the Prairie Wrestling team placed third in the 160 lb. weight class at the Regional Meet at Kooskia Saturday, Feb. 20 and will advance to the state tournament. Perrin will be seeded 8th in the class 2A160 lb. bracket for the tournament which will be held this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27 at Holt Arena in Pocatello. He will face #9 seed Dillon Farnes of Soda Springs in the opening round. Perrin takes a 20-17 record into the state tournament. Regional results: 138 lbs.-Conrad Duman lost by pin in the opening round to Shon Hayman of Wallace. He was then eliminated when he lost by pin to Kaleb Brown of St. Maries. 152 lbs.-Jayce Huling lost by pin in the opening match to Ty Dominguez of C.V. After receiving a bye through the first consolation round, he lost by pin to Caden Hall of St. Maries and was eliminated. 160 lbs.-Jace Perrin received a first round bye then lost 4-9 in the semifinals to Taylor Roy of C.V. In the consolation semifinals he won by pin in 42 seconds over Gage Norton of St. Maries. In the third place match he won by pin in 27 seconds over Brian Davis of Wallace.
