Still
time to get Mardi Gras tickets
Have you purchased your tickets for Cottonwood’s hottest event of the season? If not, there is still time, but it’s running out quickly! Tickets are available at the front desk at SMH or by calling Natalie Latimer at 208-962-2463. Tickets are $35 per person and include a delicious dinner provided by Taste of Art catering, dancing, casino games and exciting live and silent auction packages. “We have a lot of great auction items this year including tickets to a BSU game, a Gonzaga basketball game, a Coeur d’Alene/Silverwood get-a-way package, a Jet Boat Fishing trip on the lower salmon and much more!” says committee member and SMH employee, Natalie Latimer. “The Mardi Gras event is especially important this year as the SMH Foundation is raising money to replenish funds spent on a new boiler system for the hospital,” explains Jim Rehder, SMH Foundation Board Member. “This is a $239,000 project and the SMH Foundation wants to contribute $160,000. The old system was out-of-date, inefficient (under 50% efficiency), expensive and at constant risk for breaking down. The new system will reduce man hours by 500 hours and will run at up to 98% efficiency. In addition to that, it will ensure that our hospital has heat and warm water to keep our patients as comfortable as possible during the cold winter months.” Chief Administrative Officer for SMH, Matt Forge, says, “This year’s event is going to be bigger and better than ever! We hope to see everyone there and plan to provide everyone with a great time, and all for such a great cause! We really appreciate the support that this community gives the hospital. We wouldn’t still be here without it!” The Mardi Gras event will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Cottonwood Community Hall on March 12th. Please contact Ashley Steinbruecker at 208-476-8033 or Natalie Latimer if you are interested in attending, sponsoring or donating an auction item. |
