and Patriots at State
The Prairie Pirates and Summit Patriots will both be at Boys State Basketball Tournaments in Caldwell this weekend. The Pirates go as the #2 seed from District 2 and will play District 4 champion Oakley at 5:15 p.m. PST, Thursday, March 3 at Vallivue High School in Caldwell. Genesee, which had to win a pair of play-in games to make it to State, will play District 3 champion Ambrose in the game following Prairie’s. Prairie will play one of those two teams on Friday. At 7 p.m. PST if they win and at 2 p.m. PST if they lose. Lapwai opens against District 4 runner-up Raft River at 2 p.m. Thursday. The other game in their bracket features Grace and Liberty Charter. Summit Academy is the #2 seed from District 2 in the 1A-Division 2 State Tournament at Caldwell High School. They will open play at 7 p.m. PST against District 4 champion Dietrich. In the other game in their half of the bracket are Kendrick and District 5-6 runner-up Clark County. Summit will play one of those teams on Friday. The game would be at 2 p.m. PST if they win and 7 p.m. PST if they lose. The other half of the 1A-D2 bracket features District 1 champion Genesis Prep against District 5-6 champion Rockland and District 3 champion Council against District 4 runner-up Carey.
