April
events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ, The Lord is Risen! These words give us hope and courage to face new things and open our hearts to everything around us. With this mindset please consider joining us for the April activities in the youth ministry process. We are excited to step forward to serve God through; retreat, study, fun, worship, Sacrament, food, prayer, and community! Join us as we celebrate our Risen Lord! The Confirmation youth will begin the month with a retreat at Moscow on April 2nd. We will meet at the Church parking lot at 7:15, please remember to bring your permission forms and $10.00. We will return around 7:30. Please pray for our 35 young people as they draw closer to their final destination of being confirmed. On April 4th the Tri-Parish choir will meet at St. Mary’s Church to practice at 6:30 for the Confirmation Mass. Please note; all members of all choirs of all parishes are invited to sing. We would love to have a big group that represents all of the parishes singing. The Steubenville posse will also meet on April 4th at the OMG at 7:00 snacks and drinks will be provided and everyone is welcome. (Pick up a 2016 Steubenville packet from Debbie if you are interested in going in July) On April 5th all of the people, young and old who attended ICYC are asked to attend a short meeting at the OMG at 7:00p.m. I need to ask you some questions about ICYC, is shouldn’t take long. On April 6th we have a fun night planned for the High School youth and upcoming freshman class. Please meet at the OMG at 7:00. Bring a coat and a lawn chair if it’s not raining! It’s going to be fun!! On April 8 you are invited to spend an hour with Jesus at St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 p.m. You are encouraged to get out of the busyness of life and spend some quiet time with the Lord. We all need quiet time in today’s world. You will be surprised as to how your life changes. On April 10th the Confirmation class will meet at the CEC at 7:00 for class. Please remember your books. We will have interviews the following week. You will sign up for these interviews at class. On April 11th the High School Catholic Q and A group will meet at the OMG at 7:00. If you are interested in being prayed for, this session is for you. April 17th is going to be a very busy day! In the morning the Haiti mission group will be hosting a pancake and sausage breakfast at St. Mary’s from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We will also have a silent auction at the breakfast. We will use the money to help defer the cost of the June mission trip. The airline tickets went up, so we are $4,000 short at this time. We are trusting that the Lord will provide. We appreciate your support! In the evening of the 17th at St. Mary’s @ 6:30 the Confirmation youth will be hosting an ice-cream social for their sponsors. All youth and their sponsors are invited to join us with a celebration of ice-cream. If your sponsor can’t make it, you can bring your parents or someone else to stand in their place. On the following night, April 18th the Confirmation youth and their sponsors will meet once again to practice for the Confirmation liturgy. Please make sure your sponsor knows about the practice, if he or she cannot attend, please bring a parent because we need to know how much seating we will need. If you have questions, please call me. I am so excited, we are almost there! Come Holy Spirit Come! On April 20th we will have the Confirmation Mass. I would like all candidates to be present and at the Church at 6:15.
