Democrats to meet
The Idaho County Democrats will be holding their monthly meeting on Monday, April 11 at the Grangeville Senior Center on the Truck Route. Doors will open at 6:00 with the meeting to begin at 6:30. On the agenda will be a caucus debriefing and plans for upcoming visits from Ken Myers and District 7 candidate for State Senator, Jessica Chilcott, candidate for District 7 State Representative. The June 12th picnic and pie auction details will be set at the April 11th meeting. This event begins at noon at the Cottonwood City Park across from the fairgrounds. The public, as well as candidates, are invited to the annual event. 2016 will be the first time that the picnic will be held in Cottonwood. Other plans include a mental health public forum, May organizational meeting, primary plans, and the election year dinner set for September 24th. April 23rd is set for the annual spring clean-up of Highway 12 near Kamiah with the usual potluck at John and Laurie Andrechek's. Chairman Bill Farmer says, "This has become a bi-annual event and pot luck is always as good as the company." Candidates and Idaho Democratic Party officers have been invited to attend the potluck house party.
