Class of 2016 top scholars named
The Prairie High School Class of 2016 has four valedictorians and three salutatorians. This year’s valedictorians are Jake Bruner, Talyss Lustig, Sarah Seubert, and Abbie Uhlenkott. They have all maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout their high school careers. Jake is the son of Dr. Teel and Kellie Bruner. He plans to attend the College of Idaho; majoring in Pre-med. Jake was involved in football, basketball, baseball, Drug Free and Go Green. Talyss Lustig is the daughter of Doug and Karen Lustig. She will attend the University of Idaho and major in Agriculture Economics. Talyss has been involved in basketball, volleyball, Drug Free, Student Council and Prairie League. Sarah Seubert is the daughter of Ken and Kathy Seubert. She is going to attend the University of Idaho and her major is Sustainable Cropping Systems. Sarah was involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, Drug Free and Prairie League. Abbie Uhlenkott is the daughter of Brent and Cara Uhlenkott. She will attend the University of Idaho in the fall and major in Animal and Veterinary Science. Abbie was in softball, BPA, Student Council, Drug Free and Prairie League. Our Salutatorians for the Class of 2016 are Hailey Danly, Brandon Higgins and Marisa Lustig, they all maintained a 3.97 GPA throughout high school. Hailey Danly is the daughter of Greg and Lynn Danly; she is planning on attending Walla Walla Community College and her major is Civil Engineering. Hailey played volleyball, basketball, softball and was active in Prairie League, Student Council and the Drug Free program. Brandon Higgins is the son of Brad and Cindy Higgins; he plans on attending the University of Idaho and major in Architecture. Brandon was involved in football, basketball, Drug Free, Go Green and student council. Marisa Lustig is the daughter of Bob and April Lustig; and will attending the University of Montana Western and will major in Natural Horsemanship. Marisa was involved in Prairie League and Drug Free. Congratulations to all of these very deserving students.
