Blood
Drive set for Tuesday, June 7
Donating blood is a simple thing to do, but it can make a big difference in the lives of others. Every two seconds, someone in America needs blood. Each day, patients across the country receive approximately 38,000 units of this life-saving resource. This year alone, as many as four million patients will require blood transfusions, as accident victims, people undergoing surgery, and patients receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer and other diseases. Any healthy person age 17 (or 16 in Idaho with signed parental consent) or older and weighing at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood. Valid identification is required for all blood donations. Appointments are very helpful and appreciated; please call Brenda Kaschmitter or Donna Quick at 962-3251 to schedule a time to donate blood on June 7th 2016 |
