Redneck Review
No. 68 8/8/2016
First things first! Another "Thank you!" to a sharp eyed reader, this time my cousin "Ronnie" who spotted the date given on my last review being 9/1/2016! Duh! Obviously a month off! Just one of little errors spotted by readers now and then! So thanks, Ronnie, and others!
Then of course, there are the readers who disagree completely with the conclusions found in one or more of the reviews found here! And to them, I also offer a "thank you!" For in my mind as noted here before, we are all different, and thus it is to be expected that differences of opinion pop up now and then, anytime an assertion is made with any conviction!
So I choose this week to offer an opinion different from that printed on page 6A of the LMT, the Lewiston Tribune, of August 5th! And I do so noting the danger involved in straying from "politically correct" positions today! For opinions critical of Hillary Clinton are obviously "incorrect," and tend to draw the wrath of her supporters from every direction! What will happen reminds me of the claim made by the liberal millennial, Kirstin Powers, in her book THE SILENCING, where she claims that ILLIBERALS on the left today do not want to hear, nor will they tolerate opinions other than their own! This book was reviewed in detail in RN#6 dated 5/31/15. Miss Powers adds the book subtitle, "How the Left is killing free speech."
Well, I choose to offer a different opinion from that found in the LMT that day, written by Chris Carlson, an occasional writer for the Tribune I usually read and always find interesting! Chris makes some complimentary remarks about Wayne Hoffman of the Idaho Freedom  Foundation even though he admits he seldom agrees with him! Hey! Nice! Just what we have claimed all along! And I compliment Chris here!
Then Mr. Carlson writes, "For all her shortcomings, Hillary Clinton is a far superior candidate and will be a far better president than Trump. There is simply no choice to be made. It has to be Hillary all the way." An opinion by Chris, and I respect that, though I dare to disagree!
Now I have been no Trump fan this year. And even though I switched from the democrats to the republicans years ago, I find myself the last few years leaning more to the Tea Party. I simply cannot tolerate the crippling debt, the soft stand on abortion, on gay marriage, and on single bathrooms I find too many RINO Republicans agreeing with today! Guess I am just old-fashioned, and stubborn, a "Red Neck" characteristic that I find difficult to shake!
Mr. Carlson goes on to say, "I remain puzzled by those who say Clinton is a 'liar' and that she cannot be trusted. It remains a mantra chanted daily by her critics..." Later he adds, "What public trust has she violated? And don't give me the line about selling changes in State Department policy in exchange for contributions to the Clinton Foundation... a serious charge of treason and I'm not aware of any... evidence to substantiate the charge..."
Well, I have to ask, how have the Clintons amassed a recognized fortune under their control of $30 million plus dollars? I claim all answers can be found substantially documented in any one or all of the following books I have read lately! Dick Morris' book ARMAGEDDON, (4th on the best seller list some time ago), D'Souza's HILLARY'S AMERICA, (Also a current movie by the same title), CLINTON CASH by Peter Schweizer, CRISIS OF CHARACTER, by white house guard Gary Byrne, UNCOVERING CLINTON by reporter Michael Isikoff, and just recently, LIARS by Glenn Beck!          More detail on each coming in next review!!!
