Talent Show results
There were 11 acts in the annual Two Minute Talent Show held Thursday, August 18 at the Idaho County Fair. There were 4 acts in the 5-12 year old age group; 5 in the 13-18 year old age group and 2 in the 19 and over age group. Winning the 5-12 age group was Anndee Cegnar of Boise with a gymnastic routine, “Grab the Gold.” She is the granddaughter of Judy Klapprich of Cottonwood. Taking second was Trinity Martinez of Cottonwood who sang “If I Ain’t Got You.” Taking third was Madisyn Pierce who played “Boil the Cabbage Down” on violin (or should that be fiddle?). Also competing was Gloria Williams who sand “Something About Puppies.” Winning the 13-18 year old age group was Marissa Kennedy of Grangeville who sang “You Can’t Get a Man with a Gun.” Taking second was the duet of Hailey Williams and Elise Andrews who played ukuleles and sang as song they wrote, “Lifeguard..” Taking third was Jack Kennedy the “Rubic Cube Rebel” who solved two different sizes of Rubic’s Cubes within 2 minutes. Also competing were Julia Williams who performed “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” singing and accompanying herself on the ukulele; and Selena Davila who sang “Hallelujah.” In the 19 and over group, organizer Teresa Groom had no entries by Sunday, August 14, so put together her own entry. A second entry signed up just prior to the show. Groom’s entry with Pam Johnston and Cressis Holes, The Supeme-ettes, won the division with “Advice on Fair Food” sung to the tune of The Supremes’ “Stop, in the Name of Love” only they changed it to “Stop, you can’t eat all that.” Taking second was the late entry of Karla, Shelley and Adam who performed “I Lava You.” They might have gone over the two minute time limit a bit, costing them any chance at first place. 
Anndee Cegnar of Boise, granddaughter of Judy Klapprich, took first in the 5-12 year old group with a gymnastics exhibition. 
Trinity Martinez of Cottonwood was 2nd in the 5-12 group. 
Marissa Kennedy won the 13-18 year old age group with "You Can't Get a Man with a Gun" from the Broadway play "Annie Get Your Gun." 
The Supreme-ettes won the 19 & over age group competition with “Advice on Fair Food.” |
