24 out for football; Opener vs. Genesee moved up
There are 24 players turned out for the Prairie football team although they have a  lot of holes to fill from the team that went 11-1 last year and lost in the state championship game. . . .
The football opener against Genesee has been moved up to Thursday, Sept. 1 due to a lack of officials for Friday. There will also be a "fifth quarter" of JV prior to the varsity game that will start at 6 p.m.

Greg and Colleen Sonnen were selected last spring as the Boosters of the year.   Their continuous support of students and athletic teams make Prairie a great school to learn and grow in.  Thank you for your efforts for our kids. Please congratulate them and thank them when you see them.   The booster club selects a top booster each year,  be on the lookout for next years top boosters.   And come join the booster club as we continue our mission of supporting our Prairie schools.  At the end of the 100 mile summer challenge fundraiser for the track Saturday, August 20 many of the participants gathered for a ceremony at the track. Over $25,000 was raised.
