at Kamiah BBQ Days art show
Kamiah BBQ Days 2016 presented venue for over 125 art pieces of Central Idaho Art Association (CIAA) members. This was the 6th Show hosted by the Central Idaho Agency. Art at the Agency received 190 votes for People’s Choice Award. Sandi Worthington’s painting on a feather, “Griz on the Move” won People’s Choice Award. Joy Perkins, CIAA Secretary, chaired this show. She added the Art Walk which spread the Art Show throughout town featuring 13 artist’s work at 12 businesses. The businesses hosting the Art Walk included the Clearwater Valley Co-op and Co-op Café, Clearwater Progress, Wells Fargo Bank, Hill Photographics, Freedom Northwest Credit Union, Kamiah Drug, The Log Yard, 3-D Video and Electronics, Kamiah Post Office, Hearthstone Bakery, Kamiah City Hall, and the Kamiah Community Library. The Kamiah Community Library will continue hosting the art of Joyce Close and Zinona Hough though September 28. Plans are in the works to continue Art at the Library. Many thanks to all who enjoyed the art, to the Central Idaho Agency who hosted the show, to the many businesses who hosted the Art Walk, to the Clearwater Progress who promoted the Show and Walk with its many articles.
