Redneck Review
No. 72 9/5/2016
As our November election day moves closer, it becomes critical that
we weigh carefully the decisions facing us today! Bluntly, we claim the
choice is between our roots with our original moral, economic, and political
systems, or a modern socialistic system!
So we can vote for the past or a new system which has been gaining
popularity around our country the last several decades. A system characterized
by luring promises, but in the end has produced poverty and loss of freedom!
Admittedly, this is not going to sit well with a big percentage of our
electorate today! And certainly not with the upcoming young group called
"Millenials," who backed Bernie Sanders so enthusiastically, and we are
told, favor his philosophy, socialism, and Hillary, over capitalism, about
50 to 45 percent!
Why this socialistic popularity we ask? Could it be that the promises
made by Bernie, and endorsed very significantly by Hillary include free
college education? Could it be their claim that the huge student debt saddled
on our grads today will be reduced or eliminated? Debt which barely existed
at all before our government stepped in some sixty years ago with a promise
to "help and promote" college education! "Help" that was offered when a
typical college year, public or private, cost about $1000 a year, compared
to the costs facing our students today of seven to ten up to 40 or 50 thousand
per year?
Could it be "free" medical coverage with a "single-payer" idea of complete
control by the government? Or a welfare system supported financially (by
both parties) that now hands out food stamps to around 50 million families?
Or a bloated government system which we are told now employs roughly half
of all working people in our country, and pays better wages with benefits
superior to those in the private sector? Could it be the well known fact
that 75% or better of people associated with colleges, the press, and TV
favor the Democratic party and the socialist measures it has become more
associated with?
Do the research and study the predictable and explosive growth associated
with economic systems based on free enterprise, private ownership and the
profit motive like is found in our U.S. of the past, in Germany and Japan
since WWII, even in China since reforms that came following the revolt
at Tiananmen Square, and in countless other new economies.
Now compare that with the countries which have tried socialism recently,
like Russia, since 1917, earlier China, Cuba, and Venezuela. Wikipedia
on the internet asserts "The majority of self-declared socialist countries
have been Marxist-Leninist states following the model of the Soviet Union..."
Maybe the goals in Skousen's NAKED COMMUNIST listed here the last weeks
tell us how far down socialism's road we have traveled in the past half
century!
Maybe it would even be worthwhile to quote more of those same goals,
from the same book!
Goal 6: "Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist
domination."
Goal 11: "Promote the UN the only hope for mankind... set up as a one-world
government."
Goal 14: "Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office."
Goal 18: "Gain control of all student newspapers."
Goal 23: "Control art...Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive,
meaningless art."
Goal 27: "Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with
'social' religion."
Goal 31: "Belittle American culture...discourage the teaching of American
History..."
Hmmm! Do we really want to cast a vote supporting goals like these???

To the Editor:
In regard to the recent vandalism of the Democratic booth at the County
Fair in Cottonwood. Vandalism is one of the most cowardly of crimes, and
it is difficult to apprehend the guilty party. The crime at the Fair was
evidently politically motivated since the Republican booth at the Fair
was not vandalized. Sometimes it hits close to home that evil is alive
and well in the world.
I am not a Democrat or a liberal. But I am a Christian who stands in
solidarity with my Savior and Hi Word, which says, “just as you want me
to treat you, treat them in the same way (Luke 6:31). Jesus not only spoke
those words, He lived out those words every day – sometimes under the most
difficult circumstances. “And a slave is not greater than his master” (John
15:20).
King Solomon was more specific when he stated, “Open your mouth. .
.for the rights of all the unfortunate. . .Defend the rights of the afflicted
and needy” (Proverbs 31:8,9). So in good conscience before my Lord and
eternal Savior, I stand with the afflicted and vandalized Democrats by
this public letter.
I realize that, in the past, extreme, left-wing Democrats may have
perpetrated hate crimes against Republicans. In that case my sympathy and
support would be with the Republicans. But in this present situation, it
is fanatical, right-wing Republicans who have committed a hate crime against
Democrats.
Several months ago, presidential candidate Donald Trump made a very
honest and trustworthy statement. He said that his supporters are so loyal
to him that he [Donald Trump] could go out on the street and kill someone,
and his followers would still be loyal to him. So now we find that some
of those same, blind, fanatical followers have committed an act of political
vandalism and destruction against the Democrats at the Cottonwood Fair.
If you responsible, law-abiding Republicans who read this do not speak
out against this cowardly act of vandalism and desecration against you
political opponent, then your cowardly silence makes you worse than the
vandals themselves.
