Marriage Renewal: In His Presence
At World Youth Day in 2013, Pope Francis said, “Today, there are those who say that marriage is old fashioned, but I ask you to be revolutionaries and to rebel against this culture that sees everything as temporary and that ultimately believes you are incapable of true love.” Well, “those” people have never seen all the 50+ years of married life that abounds in Cottonwood, Idaho!!! Next Sunday, Nov 20, there is a wonderful opportunity to participate in being a “revolutionary” for marriage as Pope Francis has asked. On this Feast of Christ the King, bring your spouse to an Advent Marriage Renewal: ‘In His Presence’ held at St. Mary’s Church from 7-9pm. During this simple, yet beautiful, evening you and your spouse can approach Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament, to ask Him for blessings and healing for your marriage and family. Priests will be available to renew marriage vows for each couple. Enjoy the company of the other couples and a night cap at the conclusion of the evening.
