New
doctor serving hospital
St. Mary's Hospital and Clinics would like to welcome Dr. Jaron Brunson, a new provider who recently began seeing patients at our Cottonwood and Kamiah Medical Clinics,” says Shari Kuther, Director of Physician Services, SMH. “Dr. Brunson comes to us from St. Luke’s in Magic Valley as well as Jerome, ID.” Dr. Brunson grew up in East Idaho. He went to Ririe High School in Idaho Falls and attended college in Rexburg, Idaho. “My family and I decided to come to St. Mary’s Hospital and Cottonwood because we were impressed with the hospital staff and the administration at St. Mary's,” says Brunson.“The work model at St. Mary's fits my idea of what I want to provide for my patients. I also wanted to raise my family and a small community with good morals and good schools.” “I enjoy being a physician because it allows me to interact with all types of people and hear their stories, learn where they've come from and possibly help him live longer healthier life,” says Brunson. “I am passionate about preventative care and I feel that providing excellent preventative care and educating patients on their health as much as possible will help to keep them out of the emergency room and improve their overall health.” “My least favorite part of healthcare is the hustle and bustle of it all. I would much rather spend time chatting with and getting to know my patients about things that don't necessarily pertain to their medical history. I feel like that would give me a more comprehensive view of their current health issues,” Brunson says. “If I wasn't a physician, I would enjoy working out in the hills, trees and rivers. As it is I enjoy this area so much because of my love of being outside, whether it be gardening or hiking or fishing with my family.” Currently Dr. Brunson is seeing patients at the Cottonwood Clinic on Mondays and Thursdays and Kamiah on Wednesdays and Fridays. |
