GEAR-Up
students visit 3 college campuses
GEAR UP Idaho has been contributing to the Prairie school district for over ten years. The purpose of this federally-funded grant is to help prepare students to be more college and career ready after high school. One of the required activities each year is a campus visit. Our first campus visit of the year took place with a small group of juniors and seniors who traveled to the Boise area earlier this month. The students and their chaperones spent several hours touring the Boise State campus. They also visited the College of Western Idaho Micron Center in Nampa and the College of Idaho in Caldwell. GEAR UP will also provide a visit to the LCSC campus this Fall for all interested juniors and seniors.
