The thirteenth annual North Central Idaho Grazing Conference will be held on Tuesday, January 10th at the Williams Conference Center on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston. The conference begins at 8:00 a.m. with a trade show featuring pasture and range equipment and supplies. At 9:00 a.m. the presentations will begin. The morning session will feature Ranching for Profit presented by Dave Pratt, President of Ranch Management Consultants from Fairfield, California. Mr. Pratt’s presentation will cover cell grazing, the 3 secrets for increasing profits, nature’s gross margin and ranching with nature. The afternoon session will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a presentation by Dr. Ann Kennedy on bio-control of annual grasses. Dr. Kennedy is a scientist with the USDA-ARS in Pullman, Washington. The afternoon session will conclude with the Nelle Murray, Asotin County Weed Supervisor presenting information on how they have controlled annual grassy weeds in her county. Everyone is invited to attend the conference. Cost of the conference is $15 if you pre-register by December 29th. Cost at the door is $20. Registration includes lunch which will be served at noon.
