events for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ, The New Year is upon us. Let us pray for God’s blessings in our lives as we look forward to 2017. May we be open to the call that God has for us especially as we serve him in the area of youth ministry. It is here we are challenged to step forward in newness and faith to see what God may have in store for us. Please look at the upcoming opportunities and see where God may be calling you to do. We will begin the month on Monday, Jan. 2nd with a High School Bible Study at 7:00 p.m. at the OMG youth room. We will have pizza ready to eat at 6:30 if you want to come early. We will be studying the book of Esther. On the 4th of January the High School youth team will meet to plan the Jr. High REACH session at the OMG at 7:00, snacks and drinks will be provided. Adoration will take place at St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s. All High School and Jr. High Youth are invited to spend some time with Lord as the New Year begins. On Monday, January 9th the Haiti Mission Team 2018 will meet at 7:00 p.m. at the OMG youth room to discuss the Cinnamon roll and Chili delivery for Super Bowl Sunday. All members are asked to be present as we continue our endeavors of raising money for our trip. On Jan. 11th the High School youth will have a small group prayer session night. The night will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a light dinner. We will begin our prayer session at 7:00 p.m. Please bring your prayer intentions and we will pray with you and for you. All High School youth are invited and encouraged to join us for this night of faith filled intentions! All Jr High and High School youth are encouraged to attend the 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Mary’s on January 15th. Please sit in the seats in front of the choir. We will not have youth group on Jan. 16th. On January 18th the High School youth will be hosting the Jr. High REACH night. All High School peer ministers are asked to meet at the OMG youth room at 6:15 to prepare for the night. The Jr. High are asked to be present at 7:00. We will have snacks and drinks available at the session. Please invite your friends. On January 23rd the Jr. High youth are invited to the OMG youth room for a faith night. We will begin the night at 6:30 with pizza and move into our session at 7:00. We will explore the prayer style of Lexio Divina. Please invite your friends! It’s always great to learn more ways to pray! The High School youth will be heading to Lewiston to the movies and a dinner on January 25th. We will leave from the Church parking lot at 4:45. Please bring enough money for the movie and snacks. I will need adult drivers for this great adventure, so if you are an adult and would be willing to drive please let me know. Please note, if the weather is bad we will show a movie at the Omg at 7:00 with popcorn and pop. On January 30th the Jr. High will meet at the OMG for a game night. We will have snacks and pop. Please bring your favorite game. The night will begin at 7:00 and will continue until 9:00. All Jr. High youth are invited to attend. Please note; if you are in the first year of Confirmation prep and are in the evening class, pay attention to the schedule that Jim gave you. I do not have your dates listed in this letter so you will need to check the schedule he handed you. I am so blessed to have him helping me this year and appreciate an extra hand in this ministry. He is a true blessing! Please take time during this month to assess your faith life and see where God is challenging you to grow. It is through assessing our actions and moving forward though this reflection that true action takes place. We pray that you join us during this month as a means of drawing closer to Christ in prayer, worship, study, planning, fun, and food.
