Ciara Chaffee and Sean Spencer each had a second place finish for the top finishes by Prairie athletes at the Central Idaho Invitational Track Meet held at Lapwai Saturday, March 18. Chaffee was 2nd in the 800 in 2:45.75 while Spencer was 2nd in the long jump at 17 8½. Chaffee was also 8th in the 200 in 30.70. Spencer was also 9th in the 1600 in 5:15.11, 11th in the 400 in 57.60 and 22nd in the 100 in 12.71. In other girls events Madison Ulmer was 4th in the discus at 857 and 13th in the shot put at 255. Emma Gehring was 5th in the shot at 276½ and 16th in the discus at 6611. Bailie Gehring was 14th in the shot at 2411 and 111 in the discus at 732. Chaye Uptmor was 8th in the 1600 in 6:10.51 and 7th in the 3200 in 13:04.34. Theresa Wemhoff was 8th in the 100 in 14.20, 9th in the 200 in 30.8 and 12th in the 100 hurdles in 21.12. Jacey Rambo was 11th in the 400 in 1:21.23, 13th in the 800 in 3:08.17 and 26th in the 1600 in 7:26.15. Ellea Poxleitner was 37th in the 200 in 39.54, 15th in the 400 in 1:33.01 and 22nd in the 800 in 3:44.63. The 4x100 relay team of Wemhoff, Chaffee, Uptmor and Rambo was 8th in 1:00.08. As a team the girls place 10th out of 18 teams. In other boys results Lucas Wemhoff was 4th in the 400 in 55.54, 5th in the 100 in 11.89 and 9th in the 200 in 25.54. Ryan Glimp was 3rd in the discus at 1315 and 12th in the shot at 338. Patrick Chmelik was 5th in the high jump at 56, 5th in the long jump at 17½ and 7th in the 400 at 56.78. Carson Schmidt was 8th in the shot at 364 and 9th in the discus at 1065. Grant Gehring was 6th in the 3200 in 11:23.10; 17th in the 1600 in 11:23.10 and 38th in the 400 in 1:06.87. James Villamor was 12th in the 3200 in 12:37.02 and 24th in the 1600 in 6:29.50. Anthony Karel was 14th in the 800 in 2:23.87 and 20th in the 400 in 59.71. Luis Samper-Flores was 32nd in the 200 in 28.73 and 37th in the 400 in 1:06.39. Raice Dalgliesh was 27th in the 100 in 13.04, 25th in the 400 in 1:00.90 and 33rd in the long jump at 135½. Tucker Hibbard was 35th in the shot put at 285. Ryan Arnzen was 46th in the shot at 255 and 53rd in the discus at 533. Caleb McGee was 36th in the 100 in 13.88; 35th in the 200 in 29.02 and 42nd in the 400 in 1:09.46. The 4x200 relay team of Karel, McGee, Flores and Villamor placed 11th in 1:55.03. The throwers relay team of Glimp, Hibbard, Bailie Gehring and Schmidt placed 2nd, no time available. As a team the boys placed 8th out of 17 teams.
