Wet weather continues to affect forest roads
Two roads have been closed to due slides and debris on the Moose Creek Ranger District.
The Swiftwater Road 470 is closed at the Swiftwater Bridge.
The Falls Point Road 443 is closed at the gate near milepost 24. This road accesses Falls Point, Indian Hill and the Meadow Creek Trail.
Nez Perce-Clearwater officials caution visitors who want to take advantage of receding snow to please use caution and be prepared to encounter rocks, trees, mud and other debris when traveling forest roads.
Forest Service employees will be assessing conditions regulary as snow melts and access to the Forest begins to open.
Road and trail damage can be reported to your nearest Ranger District Office or by calling 208-935-2513.
Updated information on access will be posted as it becomes available on the Nez Perce-Clearwater Forests’ website: www.fs.usda.gov/nezperceclearwater or on the Forest’s Facebook page.
