Uptmor breaks school record in 1600 again
Chaye Uptmor shaved another 11 seconds off the school record she set just a week earlier in the 1600 at the Chaye Uptmor broke her own school record in the 1600 by 11 seconds at the Meet of Champions last week.Meet of Champions at Lewiston Thursday, May 4. 
Her time of 5:31.30 was good enough for third at the meet but was 11.10 seconds under her school record from last week. She also placed 7th in the 3200 in a time of 13:32.44.
For the boys Ryan Glimp had the highest finish with a second place in the discus with a personal best mark of 143’4”. He was also 11th in the shot put at 39’½”.
Ciara Chaffee had the highest individual finish for the girls team with a 2nd place finish in the 800  in 2:34.39, a personal best. She was also 6th in the 1600 in 5:48.47, also a personal best.
Mykaela McWilliams was 4th in the 300 hurdles in 51.18 and 5th in the 100 hurdles in 18.10.
Madison Ulmer was 8th in the discus with a mark of 97’½”.
In the relays the 4x100 team of Jordyn Higgins, McWilliams, Laney Uhlenkott and Theresa Wemhoff was 2nd in 52.90.
The 4x400 team of Wemhoff Higgins, Chaffee and Uhlenkott was 2nd in 4:17.29.
The medley team of Wemhoff, Higgins, Chaffee and Uhlenkott was 2nd in 2:00.66.
The 4x200 team of Higgins, Wemhoff, McWilliams and Uhlenkott was third in 1:51.21.
For the boys team Patrick Chmelik placed 5th in the high jump with a personal best of 5’10”. He also placed 12th in the 400 in 55.84.
The medley relay team of Anthony Karel, RaiceDalgliesh, Lucas Wemhoff and Sean Spencer was 4rd in 4:00.56.
The 4x200 team of Dalgliesh, Karel, Wemhoff and Spencer was 8th in 1:38.74.
JV Meet at Lapwai
Those that didn’t compete at the Meet of Champions on Thursday competed at the JV meet at Lapwai on Tuesday, May 2.
Prairie’s top finisher was Bailie Gehring who won the discus with a mark of 85’1”. She also placed 11th in the shot put at 23’½”.
Emma Gehring placed 2nd in the shot at 26’10” and was 10th in the discus at 61’7”.
Maria Schmidt was 3rd in the 400 at 1:08.32, 7thn the 200 at 31.14 and 10th in the 100 in 14.66.
The boys top finisher was Carson Schmidt who was 2nd in both the shot put and discus. His shot put mark was 37’11” and his discus mark was 112’5”. He was also 26th in the 100 in 13.77.
Grant Gehring was third in the 3200 in 11:53.19 and 6th in the 160-0 in 5:23.13.
Caleb McWilliams was 3rd in the shot with a mark of 34’ 7½” and 22nd in the discus at 77’2”>
Tucker Hibbard was 4th in the discus at 103’4” and 17th in the shot at 30’6½”. He was also 39th in the 100 in 16.64.
Hayden Uhlenkott was 6th in the discus at 100’6” and 20th in the shot at 29’1”. He was also 20th in the 200 in 28.98.
Luis Samper-Flores was 7th in the 400 in 1:03.53, 19th in the 200 in 28.85 and 22nd in the 100 in 13.59.
The 4x200 relay team of Samper-Flores, Gehring, Caleb McGee and McWilliams was 2nd in 1:51.02.
The 4x100 team of McWilliams, Hibbard, Uhlenkott and Schmidt was 5th in 57.40.

Ciara Chaffee took second in the 800 at the Meet of Champions.

Patrick Chmelik clears 5'10", a personal best, in the high jump.

Ryan Glimp set a new personal best in the discus with a toss of over 143 feet.

Jordyn Higgins takes the baton from Laney Uhlenkott in the 4x400. Prairie was 2nd in the event.
