The Summit Lady Patriots volleyball team improved to 3-0 with a pair of league wins this past week. On Tuesday, August 29 they swept Highland in their home opener, 25-10, 25-21 and 25-17. Then on Thursday, August 31 they made it a season sweep over Deary by sweeping the Mustangs 25-23, 25-14 and 25-21, also at Cottonwood. Vs. Highland Strong serving helped the Patriots against Highland as Lexi Currier had a service run of 9 with Kayla Rehder chipping in a service run of 7 points. Summit also had some excellent passing as they did a good job of getting the ball to the setter. Vs. Deary In completing a rare season sweep against Deary, Summit got some strong net play from Lauren Stubbers with Lucy Osborne serving 4 aces in the second game. Taylor Lustig also provided some strong hitting for the Patriots. Summit is now 3-0 both overall and in league play.
