at Seaport Invite
The Prairie Crosscountry team had their first meet of the season at the Seaport Invite hosted by Clarkston High School Saturday, Sept. 16. The girls had enough runners to field a full varsity team and placed 11th. Prairie’s top finisher was Maria Schmidt, new to the team this year, with a time of 23:32.02, good for 41st place out of 89 runners. Just behind Schmidt was Ciara Chaffee in 43rd with a time of 23:43.34. Kendra Duclos was 47th in 23:51.09. Kyleigh Duclos was 56th in 24:31.76. Jacey Rambo was 63rd in 25:05.43. Jessie Sonnen was 68th in 25:37.05 and Hope McIntire was 74th in 26:05.94. The boys had 3 runners competing. The top finisher was Anthony Karel who placed 95th out of 171 runners in 20:31.66. James Villamor was 101st in 21:06.32 and Justin Lockett was 106th in 22:13.65. Prairie also had 4 girls compete in the JV race. Kerri Villamor was the top finisher in 5th place out of 43 runners in 24:41.46. Sarah Ross was 7th in 25:21.84. Calli Perrin was 8th in 25:25.12 and Molly Schwartz was 23rd in 28:36.55. Their next meet will be this Thursday, Sept. 21 at Kamiah with the JV races to start at 4:30 p.m. The girls varsity race will start at 5:15 and the boys varsity race at 5:45.
