Redneck Review!
No. 135 - 11/20/2017
Last week's review posed the question:  Which of the three current forces at work in the world today should appeal best to the people who are destined to live there and spend their lifetimes raising families and living with neighbors, and others around the world?
It was asserted there that a study of Christianity, Marxism, and Islam clearly defines the ideal world that each of those philosophies strives to build.  In Christianity, it was claimed that LOVE... of God and neighbor, is the fundamental driving force, that can carry people and the human race to an eternal heaven beyond the grave. In a Marxist world as defined by its authors and its founders, CONFLICT is the key that drives history forward by means of an evolutionary process that eventually leads to a utopia here on earth. And finally, in Islam, we are expected to believe that a JIHAD FORCED acceptance of the teachings of Muhammad would somehow create the type of world that all would desire to live in. A world in which women are considered inferior, non-believers are beheaded or slain, or required to pay huge taxes to cling to a different set of beliefs!
Does our daily news give us any clue which of the above forces is alive and well in our country today?  What about the random shootings we read and hear about that pop up in unexpected places, streets, churches, schools, sporting events, or simple gatherings of people almost anywhere?  What about the mobs of screaming and hate filled individuals who threaten and disrupt events at universities sponsoring speakers with a different point of view?  And what is one to think of the persistent attempts by opponents to discredit and disrupt the presidency of the man elected by the 35 states casting their electoral votes as determined by our Constitution?
True, there is a healthy concern by people today that the influx of people professing Islamic beliefs might pose a serious threat to our American way of life.  But, even a rudimentary knowledge of the theory and goals of Marxist socialism suggests that the real threat to our nation and its way of life today might be coming from there.
Let's take a closer look at two of those basic Marx beliefs.  Their conviction that ownership especially of property, is the source of CONFLICT today.  Conflict that occurs even among children when one child selfishly screams, "Mine!" when another attempts to take and play with the same.  The conflict which comes when one party in a marriage is offended when his or her partner runs off with another, a violation of our "my wife" or "my husband" mentality. The envy and hate which results when "have not" people see the wealth and life styles of the rich and famous! The solution?  Eliminate all and every kind of ownership!
Essentially, Marx and followers believe that "ownership" is the source of all CONFLICT, and therefore, the elimination of ownership would eliminate the conflict that drives history on to its next evolutionary level. In the end times, when ALL OWNERSHIP is eliminated, then all CONFLICT will cease, and mankind will live in peace in a utopian existence here on earth.   And in the meantime, CONFLICT is the tool that drives history forward to the ultimate elimination of all ownership and the utopian world here on earth where everyone shares and shares alike, and no one person has more of anything than another!  Socialism's goal!  Hmmmmm!
