Redneck Review!
No. 139 - 12/18/17
Some random thoughts parade through my mind as I ponder the significance
of the event we will be celebrating in just a few short days! In
this area, all who read this know exactly what that event is, the celebration
of the birth of Jesus Christ, son of God, a day recorded in pages of virtually
every history book that has been written over the past 2000 years!
However, it is admitted here that immediately some will challenge the
statement above, since even in our own country, there are those who blatantly
claim that the entire event was a hoax! That no God-man did at one time
live on this earth and live the life as recorded in millions of Bibles
which have been written, read and studied over the years and centuries!
Daily we are exposed to modern individuals who insist that we use "Happy
Holidays," or any of the several titles that one sees creeping up more
and more in our secular society today! And we are all familiar with angrily
filed court cases by those who deny the obvious, and who think that they
can eliminate an important part of history by simply insisting that it
be recorded the way they want! Thus, the display of a Christmas crib
has been challenged in some parts of our country today, and we all know
how often some disgruntled person or group demands that publicly displayed
copies of the OUR FATHER or the TEN COMMANDMENTS or other displays of Christian
belief be taken down and removed from public view!
Well, SORRY is the response that those folks will get from this writer
and from the majority of people who live in this area, and it is claimed
here, from a significant majority of any and all who live in all parts
of our country today! The basic fact is that there always have been
individuals and sometimes groups who believe they have the power to destroy
the records of the past and replace them with their version of what has
happened! And common sense tells us that this will always be the
case tomorrow and for years in the future!
Why, one might ask? It is asserted here that it a case of individuals
or groups that are not happy with the way things are, and who want to replace
time honored rules for living with their own idea of what is true and acceptable!
Why be restricted with the demands of the old TENCOMMANDMENTS which are
part of history and part of the Bible and its clear story of the birth
and life of Christ and the CROSS HE accepted out of love for HIS created
people! Simply put, it is just another example of the demands of
more and more individuals today who insist on "Doing it their way," as
has often been discussed in previous articles found here!
And any serious student of history knows that the rise of Communism
in Russia in 1917, and the subsequent growth of atheism in the world and
in our country is an important source of this new and radical skepticism!
A fact it is that one of Marx's primary goals was the elimination of all
religion, and the destruction of all who stubbornly insist on following
its rules! And the saddest of all realities is that many who fall
into the camp of the complainers and grumblers about our belief in Christ
and Christmas do not realize that the freedoms they treasure and live with
today, would be the first things that would disappear should they get their
way and do away with all reminders of Christ, and Christianity, and the
Christmas season we celebrate shortly! Not surprising, for all history
records the stories of the gullible and the ignorant who rant and rave
and work to destroy the very life styles they enjoy based on the system
they want to change and destroy! Just another example of the blind
who follow the Pied Piper of Old who led his gullible followers to their
death and destruction! Oh, well! It will never change,
as the freedom given us by the very God so many today want to destroy,
allows us to challenge our maker and, "doing it our way," rush to our own
destruction! So to all readers! HAVE A HAPPY... AND HOLY... CHRISTMAS SEASON!
