The Idaho County Orchestra is getting ready for their Christmas Concert at the Monastery of St. Gertrude chapel on Saturday, December 30, at 2 p.m. Performers include: Carletta Allen-violin, AlliKohrman-violin, Lana Claussen-violin, Joan Haaland-flute, Bruce Graham-guitar, Lori Graham-viola, Karen Martin-clarinet, Dave Johnson-cello. 2018 is an election year for the state offices and Republican Lieutenant Governor candidate Janice McGeachin of Idaho Falls stopped by Cottonwood last Wednesday. She is shown discussing local issues with Idaho County Commissioner Denis Duman and Marge Arnzen at The Habit. Issues discussed included solid waste, Secure Rural Schools funding and the Forest Service being unable to manage their forests due to being tied up in lawsuits.
