The Cottonwood City Crew put out sandbags Saturday
evening along Main Street as a preventative measure in case we got the
predicted heavy rain on Sunday. Fortunately they weren’t as heavy as predicted
and Cottonwood Creek did not overflow this time. The city also made use
of some concrete barricades that were surplused by ITD to help direct any
possible flood waters. Police Chief Terry Cochran said it’s great when
a plan works. Click on the photo for a larger view.
