street work is upon us
Summer is upon us and road work is everywhere and the City of Cottonwood is no different. Fortunately for us the Broadway/South Second Street work went early, smoothly and very quickly. Thanks to the City crew, Porter Yetts and Poe Asphalt we have a very good and very smooth surface. Thank you to the people who normally travel those streets for their patience while the work was being done. There is still shoulder work and misc. other things the City crew will be working on, so please be cautious. Since we now have a very nice road after waiting so long, it is very easy to exceed the speed limit, so be aware the City Police Department will be watching. Also I ask to avoid cutting the corner as it can break the edge. Do to weather as well as road work, the dust abatement has been delayed. Weather permitting we will be applying late this week and next. If you are interested in dust abatement, please contact City hall. Jack Duman |
